As one of the largest suppliers of processing and packaging technology in China, Bosch Packaging Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd provides solutions to customers worldwide.
The company offers engineering and design, manufacturing, sales, and after-sales-service for stand-alone packaging machines as well as complete lines in the pharmaceutical, confectionery, food and non-food, and cosmetics industries.
To satisfy the needs of the Chinese market for both high performance and competitive prices, Bosch Packaging Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd was established as an entirely foreign owned company in April 2001. In January 2002 the company produced the first capsule filling machine, GKF 700, for the pharmaceutical industry. In June 2003 the first bag form fill and seal machine for the food industry was built. In September 2003 the company established its own sales, marketing and after sales service team. In 2005 the product portfolio was extended towards the design and manufacturing of machines for the confectionery industry. One year later, in 2006, the company moved to its own facility in the Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Area to ensure capacity for significant growth. In 2007 liquid filling lines for sterile applications were introduced, and in March 2010 Bosch Packaging Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd doubled the size of its shop floor. The main drivers for this demand were line projects for pharmaceutical industry and an expanding confectionery business.
To round out the portfolio, the existing after-sales-service was re-launched in 2010 to accommodate the aforementioned industries from the location in Hangzhou and a service station in Beijing. These expansions mean that the whole lifecycle of a machine - starting with a first study, till delivery, installation, service, and modernization - is managed locally from the Hangzhou facility.
In 2011 Bosch Packaging Hangzhou celebrated its 10-year anniversary and launched a new horizontal wrapper for the bakery and confectionery market - developed in cooperation with Bosch Packaging Singapore.
Bosch Packaging Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd began a shop floor extension in 2012 that will be finished by March 2013. It will then occupy the full land plot of 35,000 square meters. Several hundred associates work in Hangzhou, making it the largest Bosch packaging plant in Asia.
