An overview of the past, present and future of the company.
Founding of Tevopharm
Tevopharm was founded by Bart de Jong, head of the technical development at Gist in Delft (now DSM) and Jan Bakker, Technisch Bureau Bakker, agent of foreign machine producers for the pharmaceutical industry in 1960. In Dutch the name Tevopharm refers to TEchniek VOeding PHARMacie („Technology for food and pharmacy“).

In 1988 Tevopharm was acquired by Otto Hänsel GmbH. Tevopharm worked in close cooperation with Otto Hänsel who produced buffering and distribution systems as well as processing machines.

In 1993 Klöckner Werke AG took over Otto Hänsel GmbH and thus also Tevopharm. The integration into the Klöckner Group gave Tevopharm access to new customers.

In 2000 Klöckner Werke AG decided to move the development and sales of buffering and distribution systems to Tevopharm. Tevopharm positioned itself as high-end system supplier and moved its strategic developments into that area.

In August 2003 the Robert Bosch GmbH acquired Tevopharm. Tevopharm integrated into the business unit „Packaging Machines“of the „Packaging Technology” division.

In 2000 the last machine was sold to Delicious in the Netherlands.

The Pack-1000 was the first fully servo-driven flowpack machine on the market, offering High-speed wrapping around the clock. This machine was especially very popular by producers of candy bars. With more than 70 machines sold, Tevopharm entered the area of servo-driven machine with great success. The successor Pack-2000 has even more success.
