Fast:

  • This parallel axis robot is designed for high-speed and high-accuracy pick-and-place applications (typically 80-140 picks/minute).
  • With advanced tracking software, the Delta Robot can track and pick-and-place fast moving objects without disturbing production flow up to 30 m/min (98ft/min) and even 4 times faster depending on the application.

Low maintenance:

  • Parallel axis robotics allows for fixed position motors and requires no moving wires, which means longer life, easier maintenance, and higher speeds then conventional robots.
  • The composite materials selected for the robot arms, rack and pinion drive mechanism, and end-effectors have been optimized for strength and long life.
  • None of the joints or drive mechanisms require gear boxes that require lubrication and wear out due to backlash.
  • The robot arms can be disassembled and reassembled in 2 minutes

Vision guided:

  • Coupled with the latest technology in vision systems the Delta Robot can be directed to randomly positioned and oriented fast-moving objects in order to pick them up and place them with high precision.

Flexible:

  • The Delta Robot offers 3 degrees of freedom with an optional 4th degree of freedom often used to rotate or squeeze object(s) during the pick-and-place operation.
  • Object gripping devices of all types have been mounted on the end of the Delta Robot ranging from vacuum cups, to mechanical grippers, to almost anything imaginable.
  • Multiple robots are able to working together utilizing one Delta controller capable of controlling up to 3 robots and a supervisory controller capable of managing the work of 12 Delta controllers.
