Overview
The AQUATHERM sterilizer, type SWS, is designed especially to sterilize liquids in 100% sealed containers using a spray water cascade system. This process has the advantage of excellent cycle times vastly reducing conventional cooling periods for liquid loads.
To guarantee a perfect shape after sterilization as well as for safety reasons the sterilizer is working with a support pressure. This support pressure can be set individually for each product or calculated in relation to the pressure inside the load container.
A full range of chamber sizes is available from small units with 280 litre capacity up to autoclaves with 30 m³ useable chamber volume. A comprehensive range of optional accessories allows the client to flexibly configure the AQUATHERM to their own requirements. Optional features:
- Load rotation system – in order to obtain a homogenous heat transmission and to avoid coagulation in certain liquid loads such as amino acids, fat emulsions etc., the sterilizer can be provided with a rotating cage assembly which is specially constructed to guide and support the loading carts whilst they are rotated in the chamber. The rotation speed is variable between 0 and 4 revolutions per minute
- Additional equipment for liquids in open or semi-closed containers according to the steam/air cycle
- Manual or automatic filter in-line sterilization
